The Jimmy Hill’s Ice cream and Creperie shop located in Calan Blanes is one of those places difficult to find if you don’t live in the urbanization. The creperie is a familiar business runned by Dario and his family, from Argentina.
They don’t have webpage or Facebook, and they are in a remote zone surrounded by hotels and apartments where there are more english tourists than local people. ¡Congratulations if you found it, you’re gonna like it! This creperie is part of the Jimmy Hills facility, where you can have crepes or drinks while you watch football matches or you have a nice time with your family.
Crepes, Ice Creams and Smoothies
Jimmy Hill’s Creperie offers, as its own name indicates, Crepes, Ice Creams and Smoothies. Personally, I’m a fan of the dark chocolate crepe (they also have syrup and nutella) and the Jimmy Hills smoothie (Orange juice, banana and strawberry). But you can have anything you want, everything is delicious.
If you go at noon or in the afternoon the ambience will be relaxed, but if you decide to go in the evening, you may find a more upbeat atmosphere thanks to the Jimmy Hills entertainment which has a group that sings and dances near the terrace of the creperie.
Desserts, Family Plans or Pont den Gil Views
One of the things that I like of this creperie, besides the food and the smoothies that are the best ones of the area, is that it’s close to Pont den Gil. A good plan is to go to the creperie to recover energy after an excursion to the Pont den Gil or the Punta Nati Lighthouse. Sometimes I even take the smoothies away to see the sunset in the Pont den Gil, although it’s a bit more complicated and the smoothies can fall to the ground along the way.
The creperie is also near the Hippodrome of Torre del Ram and the paddle courts of El Farragut, so it’s a good place where to finish plans with a good crepe. By the way, if you travel with family and kids, this is also a good plan to go before or after going to the many kids attractions that you can find in the area (Aqua Center, inflatable attractions, etc.).
How To Get There
If you want to go to the Jimmy Hills creperie, you have to go towards Ciutadella and then towards the urbanization of Calan Blanes, in the outskirts of Ciutadella. Once you get there, you have to go to Los Delfines and when you arrive to the roundabout of the dolphin, you have to take the first exit to the right and then you will see at your right a parking for around 30 cars. It’s difficult to get lost as it’s a small urbanization with many indicative signs.
