From Galdana to Macarelleta – 5 km Viewpoint Route

The excursion from Cala Galdana to Cala Macarella and Macarelleta is one of the simplest and most beautiful that can be done in the southern area of Menorca.
The tour starts in Cala Galdana, where it is possible to leave the car in one of the free car parks in the area. From Cala Galdana you have to take the famous Camí de Cavalls (it is difficult to get lost).

Cala Biniparratx

Cala Biniparratx is another of the “bini” coves of Menorca (bini- is a prefix of Arab origin that is equivalent to “Son of …”), located very close to Binisafúller and Binidalí. Biniparratx is south facing, so it has “face” sun for most of the day.

The beach is about 20 meters wide by 20 meters long, so it has room for quite a few swimmers on the sand. Biniparratx has as its main attraction the access to the beach, which runs through the center of the Ravine of Biniparratx.

In the right area of the beach there are some apartments and in the left area of the beach there is a bar-restaurant. As it is easy to reach this beach by car, during the summer season it is very frequented by both tourists and locals.

Punta Nati Lighthouse

The Punta Nati Lighthouse is the closest lighthouse to Ciutadella (excluding Sa Farola). For me is one of the best places in Menorca to watch the sunset. This lighthouse was built in 1912 in order to avoid the continuous shipwrecks of the north coast of Ciutadella.
