Located in a privileged spot near the cliffs, the Sa Posta de Sol bar<\/strong> (former Maxi’s Snack Bar)<\/strong> is a strange pearl close to the urbanization Los Delfines. With excellent sea views, this restaurant\/beach bar allows you to have an aperitif or eat any dish overlooking the sea.<\/p>\n

It is not a place known for its gastronomy, nor for its cocktails or its natural environment, it is simply one of the best places from which to watch the sunset in Menorca, and hence its name. Both from the covered terrace at the top,<\/strong>as from the outdoor terraces closest to the sea,<\/strong>the sunset views are very nice.<\/p>\n

How to Get To Sa Posta de Sol Bar<\/h2>\n

To get there you only need to go towards Ciutadella by the main road of Menorca. Once in Ciutadella, before entering the city, you have to deviate towards Cala en Blanes, and then you have to look for the signs towards Los Delfines (see map for more detail). When you arrive in Los Delfines do not panic, it is an urbanization for foreign and English tourists mainly.<\/p>\n

The quality of the food,<\/strong>for anyone used to the good restaurants, is not excellent, but if for something is famous this restaurant is for its sunsets.<\/strong> You can eat on the covered terrace or outside down stairs looking towards the small beach of Cales Piques.<\/strong> If you decide to eat outside (down the stairs), you will have to go to the bar and ask the waiters whatever you want, cause there is no service at the tables that are near the sea.<\/p>\n

If you want to go to have dinner in Sa Posta de Sol in summer (not recommended, but cheap), you have to go quite soon. They don’t have a fixed schedule, but overall it’s hard to get a table later than 9:00pm or 9:30pm as they don’t have a fixed schedule. When they are tired of serving, they just stop serving.<\/p>\n
