Menorca<\/strong> are one of the most characteristic elements of the prehistory of the island.<strong>The most famous naveta of Menorca is the Naveta des Tudons<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_History_of_the_Naveta_des_Tudons\"><\/span>The History of the Naveta des Tudons<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>The Naveta des Tudons<\/strong> is the <strong>oldest fully preserved building<\/strong>in Europe, and its construction dates around <strong>1000 BC.<\/strong> It is a <strong>collective funerary monument<\/strong>, in whose interior the bodies of more than 100 individuals were found, as well as bronze and bone objects. <strong>The name Naveta comes from its resemblance to an<\/strong> inverted <strong>boat<\/strong> (ship). <strong>This name was given by Joan Ramis i Ramis in 1818<\/strong> when he published Celtic Antiquities of the Island of Menorca. In case of leaving from Ciutadella, you have to go in the direction of Ma\u00f3. <strong>La Naveta is located on the main road between Ma\u00f3 and Menorca<\/strong> (the Me-1 road) and is quite well signposted.  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Parking is free<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To get to the Naveta you will have to walk about 5 minutes<\/strong> from where the car is left.
