When it was built, it <strong>was the tallest of all the lighthouses of the Balearic Islands,<\/strong>until in 1977 the Moscarter lighthouse was built in Ibiza. Its optics have been renewed over the years, and from 1976 the maintenance service with permanent residence in the lighthouse was withdrawn. Imagine how hard it could be to maintain this lighthouse, <strong>on a tiny island isolated from civilization and with 3 families<\/strong> (those of the 3 &#8220;towers&#8221;), living together in such a space!  <\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_get_there_%E2%80%93_Boat_Rental_to_Illa_de_lAire\"><\/span>How to get there &#8211;
