very good place to do a diving baptism<\/strong> in a calm and quiet environment. <strong>Whether you have previous experience in the sea or you are a novice<\/strong>, the diving baptism is an activity that you will probably enjoy.<br \/>\nUnless you are a bit claustrophobic or overwhelmed by being underwater, try scuba diving is something I <strong>recommend almost everyone to try <\/strong>(I have taken 3 scuba diving and 1 freediving certification).<br \/>\nI took the <strong><a title=\"PADI Open Water Diver certification\" class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>  A diving baptism is an activity in which you can try the experience of diving in a controlled and quite safe environment <strong>accompanied by a diving instructor.<\/strong> There are two types of diving baptisms:  <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Swimming pool diving baptism<\/strong>: You put on all the diving equipment (wetsuit, BCD, weights, tank, fins, goggles, etc.) and try the diving experience in a swimming pool <strong>with an instructor.<\/strong> It is common in some hotels and usually focuses on people who have very little experience in the sea and want to try in a very well controlled environment.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Baptism of Scuba Diving in Open Water<\/strong>: You put on all the diving equipment and test the diving experience, with an <strong>instructor.<\/strong> It usually starts from the beach although sometimes it can be started from a boat.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_long_does_a_Scuba_Diving_Baptism_last\"><\/span>How long does a Scuba Diving Baptism last?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>  There is no minimum time, but normally a diving baptism lasts <strong>between 10 and 40 minutes of underwater time<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>total time is much longer,<\/strong>because before entering the water there are concepts of theory and practice that must be explained.<\/li>\n<li>If you are going to do a diving baptism, calculate that <strong>you are going to dedicate at least 2 to 3 hours to you all the equipment.<\/strong> What I recommend to bring are your goggles and snorkel (in case you have one), in case you feel like sharing goggles and snorkel with other people. class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>  You can do a diving baptism in <strong>any of the diving centers in Menorca<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you want an activity with a closed price target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">diving baptism for 75\u20ac.<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" href=\"https:\/\/www.civitatis.com\/es\/menorca\/bautismo-buceo-menorca?aid=1944&amp;cmp=baptism-en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Baptism of 75\u20ac in Cala en Blanes<\/a> (5min from Ciutadella), this is what it includes:   <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Pick up in the center of <\/strong><b>Ciutadella<\/b> or in the urbanization of Cala en Blanes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Basic<\/strong> diving equipment<\/li>\n<li><strong>Theoretical explanations<\/strong> needed for the activity<\/li>\n<li><strong>Exercises on the beach<\/strong> with the water up to your knees (before doing the diving immersion)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Immersion<\/strong> in the sea at a maximum of <strong>12 meters<\/strong> and for a <strong>maximum of 40
