Cheese in Bar Imperi<\/figcaption><\/figure> The <strong>Bar Imperi of Ciutadella<\/strong> is a <strong>historical<\/strong> and <strong>very good<\/strong> <strong>Tapas Bar<\/strong>.<br \/>\nBar Imperi opened in 1941 and is well known in Ciutadella and the rest of Menorca.<br \/>\nIt is located in the Plaza des Born, a very central place of Ciutadella.    <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For me this is <strong>one of the best places in Ciutadella to go for lunch or dinner sandwiches and toast<\/strong>, and one of my favorites to buy and take to the beach.<\/li>\n<li>It is also an <strong>ideal place to have breakfast in the sun<\/strong> (both in summer and winter) <strong>on<\/strong> either of its two terraces (an outdoor terrace in the sun, and a more sheltered inner courtyard).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>The Food<\/h2>\n<p>  Bar Imperi is especially famous for its Bocadillos and Tostadas with a delicious bread called <em>Llonguet.<\/em><br \/>\nThe llonguets or rolls can be made of white bread or whole wheat bread (I like the whole wheat better). <strong>Some of the most popular sandwiches<\/strong> are:   <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sobrasada<\/strong> and Honey (with optional Ma\u00f2 Cheese)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cuixot<\/strong> with melted Ma\u00f2 cheese<\/li>\n<li>Potato <strong>omelet<\/strong> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>They also serve<\/strong> very good <strong>sweets<\/strong> such as the <strong>Ensaimada (<\/strong> normal and chocolate) and the <strong>Chocolate<em>croissants<\/em><\/strong>.  <\/p>\n<h2>The Imperi Bar Terrace<\/h2>\n<p><figure id=\"attachment_25394\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25394\" style=\"width: 450px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a id=\"caption-attachment-25394\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Breakfast in Bar Imperi Ciutadella<\/figcaption><\/figure>  The <strong>terrace of Bar Imperi is one of my favorites<\/strong> in Ciutadella.<br \/>\nIt has about 15 tables where you can enjoy peacefully both in winter and summer.   <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>In winter<\/strong> they usually have the umbrellas folded and the sun shines both in the morning and in the afternoon.<\/li>\n<li><strong>In summer<\/strong> they usually have the umbrellas unfolded to provide shade, as it is very hot.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>  In the Patio Interior, inside the restaurant, they have about 6 tables where you can enjoy sandwiches and tapas in a very quiet environment.  <\/p>\n<h2>Photos of Bar Imperi<\/h2>\n<div id='gallery-1'
