The origin of this settlement is between 1700 and 1400 BC. Although the settlement is in poor condition <strong>, the sanctuary and the Taula, which is about 4m high, are perfectly preserved<\/strong>. The Taula de Torralba d&#8217;en Salord is one of the best preserved in Menorca. The largest one is the best preserved, and can be seen from all over the village. The second talayot is next to the enclosure of the Taula and only preserves a part of its outer wall.  <\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"La_Taula_and_the_Mares_Quarry\"><\/span>La Taula and the Mar\u00e9s Quarry<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>La Taula is the best preserved remains of this settlement and of all Menorca.<\/strong> The Taula is a T-shaped construction made of two large stone blocks measuring more than 4m in height. There are 2 Mar\u00e9s quarries in the village of Torralba d&#8217;en Salord. The first is of prehistoric origin and is the origin of the stone blocks that were used for the construction of the Talayotic monuments.
