Galdana Cove (South &#8211; Es MigJorn Gran)<\/a><\/li><li class='ez-toc-page-1 ez-toc-heading-level-2'><a class=\"ez-toc-link ez-toc-heading-16\" href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/the-10-best-beaches-in-menorca-for-going-with-pins\/#Do_you_want_more_information_about_traveling_to_Menorca_with_children\" >Do you want more information about traveling to Menorca with children?<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/nav><\/div>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Virgin_Beaches\"><\/span>The Virgin Beaches<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>  Menorca has beaches that in many cases are still unspoiled and have nothing to envy to other more glamorous destinations.<br \/>\n<strong>To reach most of them you need a car<\/strong>, but the island is relatively small (it is about 45 km long and 20 km wide) and wherever you are you can reach any point in a short time.<br \/>\nThis is especially interesting because it allows you to always enjoy calm beaches.    <\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Before_leaving_for_the_beach%E2%80%A6\"><\/span>Before leaving for the beach&#8230;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>  The golden and very important rule to succeed in your beach day is to always look <a href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/winds-of-menorca\/\">in which direction the wind is blowing<\/a>.<br \/>\nIf it blows from the north, your best option is the southern beaches.<br \/>\nIf it&#8217;s blowing south, head north.    <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In the hot months do not forget <strong>the umbrella, hats and water<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe large sarongs are very useful because they weigh little and with them you can also improvise a good awning. <\/li>\n<li><strong>For small babies, an ergonomic backpack will be essential to comfortably reach the most inaccessible beaches<\/strong>.<br \/>\nI, especially in August, usually go to the beach at the hours of low sun: either early in the morning (around 10am) or late in the afternoon (around 5pm).<br \/>\nThis way we avoid the crowds on the beaches and parking lots as well as the hours of strong sun.  <\/li>\n<li><strong>Don&#8217;t forget the sunscreen<\/strong>.<br \/>\nIt seems obvious but with the excitement of the vacations sometimes we forget and then we have to return before the beach to avoid getting burned.<br \/>\nWe use the 100ml <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2yFkh6b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">gel type that you can put on sand and salt without any problem<\/a> (and you can take it on the plane without any problem).  <\/li>\n<li><strong>Take snorkeling goggles<\/strong>: if you feel like watching the fish underwater and enjoying the crystal clear waters, don&#8217;t forget your snorkeling goggles and snorkel.<br \/>\nYou can take <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2EQEhIG\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">traditional<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2FJWKVr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">modern snorkelless<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2EQEhIG\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">goggles<\/a>. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>  These recommendations and <strong>a little common sense are all you need to enjoy the beaches of Menorca with your family.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_Morell_Cove_North_%E2%80%93_Ciutadella\"><\/span>1. Santandria and Sa Caleta- (North &#8211; Ciutadella)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_25722\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25722\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Cala-Santandria-desde-arriba-scaled.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-25722 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Cala-Santandria-desde-arriba-800x600.jpg\" alt=\"Cala Santandria from above\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\"\/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-25722\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Cala Santandria from above<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/cala-santandria\/\">Santandria<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/sa-caleta\/\"><strong>Sa Caleta<\/strong><\/a> They are very close to Ciutadella and can be reached by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/a-que-playas-go-by-bus\/\">public transport<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>They are <strong>close to hotels, have showers and numerous services around<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThey are nice, but not very big and are usually quite crowded, especially in high season. <\/li>\n<li><strong>They are good to go with children for its ease of access<\/strong>, although you will not have that feeling of being in a special place.<br \/>\nI recommend them for an afternoon or morning when you don&#8217;t have much time to get to any other more appealing place or when you don&#8217;t feel like a big deployment of gear and beach preparations. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_La_Vall_or_Algaiarens_Beaches_North_%E2%80%93_Ciutadella\"><\/span>3. Son Saura (South &#8211; Ciutadella)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><figure id=\"attachment_6152\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6152\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6152 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/son-saura-familia.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/son-saura-familia.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/son-saura-familia-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/son-saura-familia-273x205.jpg 273w, https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/son-saura-familia-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-6152\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Son Saura beach with children<\/figcaption><\/figure>  The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/son-saura\/\"><strong>beaches of Son Saura<\/strong><\/a> are, for me, one of the most beautiful of the island, with white sand and clear turquoise waters.<br \/>\nMeters and meters of sand combined with posidonia that offer endless possibilities.   <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>It is easy to reach by car and there is only a short dirt road to the first beach<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThen you can walk as far as you want to visit the part that is farther away from the parking lot. <\/li>\n<li>There are toilets (only in summer) in the parking area and<strong> a small area with pine trees and shade for picnics or a nap when the kids are tired of the sun.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>  In August it is better to go early (around 10 am) or late (around 5 pm) as it is closed for cars when the parking lot is full.  <strong>It is a beach accessible by stroller.<br \/>\nThe water is very calm and does not cover too early, ideal for children. <\/strong>.  <\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"12_Binigaus_Beaches_South_%E2%80%93_Es_MigJorn_Gran\"><\/span>12.
