Menorca.<br \/>\nIn spite of that, it is a spectacular beach that shares with all the beaches of the south the white sand and the transparent waters.<br \/>\nThe length of the beach is <strong>more than 400 meters<\/strong>, and as you can see in the pictures, it is a beach with a huge bathing area.<br \/>\nThe natural outlet of the Algendar ravine on the beach has become over time a port for shallow draft boats, in what is known as <strong>the river of Cala Galdana.<\/strong><br \/>\nIf it were not for the amount of buildings and people in Galdana, this beach would be the best of all <strong>Ciutadella<\/strong> it is necessary to take the main road towards Ma\u00f3 and to take the<strong> detour before arriving at Ferreries<\/strong>.<br \/>\nFrom <strong>Ma\u00f3<\/strong> you have to go to Ciutadella and take the detour once past Ferreries.<br \/>\nIn both cases, <strong>Cala Galdana is very well indicated and it is very difficult to get lost<\/strong>. families<\/strong>, and you can do all the activities you can think of.<br \/>\nYou can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/alquiler-de-embarcaciones-sin-titulacion-con-minorboats\/\"><strong>motor boats can be rented by the hour, kayaks can be<\/strong><\/a>You can <strong>rent kayaks<\/strong> to <a title=\"Virgin Coves and Beaches in the South of Menorca\" href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/unspoilt-beaches-south-menorca\/\">visit the southern beaches<\/a>, and there are restaurants and bars everywhere.<br \/>\nPresiding over the views is the gigantic <a title=\"Hotel Sol Gavilanes\" href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/es\/sol-gavilanes.en.html?aid=328487\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Sol Gavilanes hotel<\/a>.<br \/>\nI do not recommend this beach if you are looking for tranquility and unspoiled landscapes, because Galdana is exploited to the maximum.<br \/>\nDespite this, it is a<strong> very good option for families<\/strong> and to visit one day or another, when you don&#8217;t feel like <a title=\"Escorxada Cove\" href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/cala-escorxada\/\">walking 1 hour to get to a nice beach<\/a>.      <\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Cala_Galdana_in_Family\"><\/span>Cala Galdana in Family<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>  Cala Galdana is a very good option for families with small children for several reasons:  <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>It is very easy to get there<\/strong> by car and park near the beach: if you go with children who can get tired fast you will not have problems.<\/li>\n<li><strong>It is shallow and very wide<\/strong>: children can play in many areas of the shore.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The waves are not very strong<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/winds-of-menorca\/\">unless there is a strong southerly wind blowing<\/a>, the waves are gentle thanks to the closed shape of the beach.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_viewpoint_of_Cala_Galdana\"><\/span>The viewpoint of Cala Galdana<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><figure Galdana<\/strong>.<br \/>\nYou will have a view of the whole bay and you will see thousands of bathers enjoying the sunny day (unless you go in winter!) From the Mirador you can take beautiful panoramic photos of the bay.<br \/>\nYou can also appreciate the shape of the beach and the mouth of the river of Cala Galdana.    <\/p>\n<h3><span
