View of Fornells from Monte ToroThe<\/figcaption><\/figure>mountain of Monte Toro is the highest point of the whole island of Menorca<\/strong>, and that is only 358 meters (and according to some measurements it is still less the height).
\nSome say that the name of the mountain comes from the legend according to which in the mountain there was a bull that prevented anyone from approaching the top.
\nThe reality is that the name comes from the Roman root “Tor”. From the Toro it is possible to see almost all of Menorca and even Mallorca<\/strong> when the day is clear.
\nAt the top is the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Monte Toro, which was built over a Gothic church around 1670.
\nYou can also see the television signal repeaters, which spoil the beautiful scenery from the top. <\/p>\n
