When you see a postcard of Menorca<\/strong> in which appears a paradisiacal cove with white sand, turquoise water and a sailboat planted in the middle of the sea, you are probably looking at a picture taken in one of the virgin coves in the south of Menorca<\/strong>.
\nAs you may know, Menorca is divided into 2 areas<\/a> quite different from each other.
\nOne of the great things about Menorca is that the spirit of urbanization that has destroyed other towns along the Mediterranean coast has been contained quite well. Thanks to it, in the south zone of Menorca<\/strong>, especially in the coast of Ciudadela, you can find a series of virgin beaches with an enormous beauty<\/strong> and spectacular landscapes.

Las Playas<\/h2>\n

There are many virgin beaches in the south of Menorca.
\nThe best known are Turqueta<\/a><\/strong>es Talaier<\/a>, Escorxada<\/a>, Binigaus<\/a>, Son Saura<\/a>, Macarella<\/strong><\/a> i Macarelleta<\/a><\/strong>.
\nIf you plan to travel to Menorca in summer you will probably want to visit some or many of these beaches, just to feel in the middle of a postcard and take pictures like the one you can see on this page. <\/p>\n

Panoramic View of the Southern Beaches (Excursion to Talaia d’Artrutx)<\/h2>\n

In addition to visiting the coves by car, there is a place from which you can see all the beaches of the south coast from a small tower<\/strong>: the Talaia d’Artrutx.
\nIt is not easy to reach, and I personally have only reached it by bike, so I do not know if you can get there by car without running into a fence of a private estate. To get to this tower<\/strong>, the easiest way is to go to Son Saura by bike, or loading the bikes in the car to the parking lot of Son Saura.
\nOnce there, you just have to look for the path marked on the map below, and follow it until you reach the private house and the tower next to it.
