difficult access located between Ferreries and Ciutadella. <strong>The sand<\/strong> of Cala Pilar, as in most of the north, is of <strong>golden and reddish color<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe <strong>water is transparent and crystalline as long as the wind conditions are favorable<\/strong>&#8230;<br \/>\nOne of the particularities of this beach is its strong exposure to the Tramontana (north wind).     <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Before going to Cala Pilar make sure that there is no wind blowing from the north because in that case you will probably encounter uncomfortable waves for id=\"How_to_get_to_Cala_Pilar\"><\/span>How to get to Cala Pilar<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>  Cala Pilar is a beach that is halfway between the two &#8220;big&#8221; towns of Menorca.  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>If you leave from Ciutadella<\/strong>, you can get there by the main road to Ma\u00f3, taking the <strong>Cam\u00ed de Pilar detour at Km 34 of the road.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>If you leave from Ma\u00f3<\/strong> you will have to take the main road to Ciutadella and take the same detour at Km 34 of the road.<br \/>\nYou have to be careful not to pass it, as it is in an overtaking lane. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Access_on_foot_from_the_parking_lot\"><\/span>Access on foot from the parking lot<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>  Once in the parking lot, <strong>you have to walk for about 30 minutes<\/strong> along a path in the middle of the forest until you reach the beach. small and<strong> does not have any type of service<\/strong>.<br \/>\nIn addition, <strong>there are no large shaded areas so if you plan to stay a long time it is best to bring plenty of water<\/strong> and an umbrella.<br \/>\nIf you are tired of the sun, very close to the beach there is a very small &#8220;cave&#8221; where you can rest for a while.    <\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Snorkel_in_the_North_of_Menorca_Marine_Reserve\"><\/span>Snorkel in the North of Menorca Marine Reserve<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>  Finally, it is important to note that since Cala Pilar is located in a<strong> protected fishing area<\/strong>, <strong>it is a very good place for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/snorkeling-in-menorca\/\">snorkeling or scuba diving<\/a><\/strong>.  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Don&#8217;t forget your goggles and fins<\/strong> (and
