permission of <a title=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/cala-pregonda\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/cala-pregonda\/\">Cala Pregonda<\/a>.<br \/>\nIt is a small beach of <strong>blue waters with white sandy bottom<\/strong> surrounded by pine trees and divided into two parts by a low rock.<br \/>\nDue to its orientation, <strong>in summer it gets the shade a little earlier than the rest of the beaches<\/strong>, so it tends to empty early.    <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>If you like to be on the beach even when the sun is not shining you will love Cala Turqueta, since class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>There are 2 theories about the etymology of the name Turqueta:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Some say the name comes from the Turquoise color of the water<\/strong>, reminiscent of the clearest, most crystalline turquoise.<\/li>\n<li>Others <a href=\"https:\/\/www.illesbalears.travel\/recurso-turistico\/es\/menorca\/cala-en-turqueta\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">say that the name recalls that this beach was a place chosen by the <strong>Turkish<\/strong> <strong>Pirates<\/strong><\/a> to disembark in Joan de Missa <\/strong>from Ciudadela and follow the signs.<br \/>\nOnce you arrive at the parking, you are only about 10 minutes away from a paradisiacal beach, which illustrates many postcards of the island.<br \/>\nAlthough Cala Turqueta is a virgin beach, in the parking lot you can find a small bar-<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/the-9-best-beach-bars\/\">chiringuito<\/a><\/strong> with toilets where they sell snacks and drinks.    <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.civitatis.com\/es\/menorca\/paseo-barco-menorca?aid=1944&amp;cmp=turqueta\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">you can arrive in a boat shared with several people to Turqueta<\/a><\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe boat leaves from Ciutadella and passes by several virgin beaches in the south.<br \/>\nGoing by shared boat has advantages and disadvantages (I have gone once and I had a great time):    <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You enjoy a day of sailing at a <strong>very affordable price<\/strong>, but you share the boat with many people.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You can see several beautiful beaches without walking<\/strong>, although as there are many people on the boat, when you arrive at the beach you will not be alone.<\/li>\n<li>You can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/9-tips-to-prepare-your-trip-to-menorca-2\/#9_No_Te_Olvides_de_Esto_en_Tu_Maleta\">carry luggage, diving goggles and photo equipment<\/a> without carrying it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/9-tips-to-prepare-your-trip-to-menorca-2\/#9_No_Te_Olvides_de_Esto_en_Tu_Maleta\">.<\/a> <\/li>\n<li>Some boats have a slide for &#8220;jumping&#8221; into the water \ud83d\ude09<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Once_There\"><\/span>Once There<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>  If you go to Cala Turqueta, try not to go in the late afternoon, as it is a beach where <strong>the sun sets quite early<\/strong>.<br \/>\nOn the other hand, if you try to go at noon you may find a full parking lot.<br \/>\nSo if you like to spend many hours on the beach, <strong>it is best to go early in the morning (before 9am).<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>In case you go in the afternoon<\/strong>, the best thing to do is to settle down, facing the sea, as far to the left as possible, since you will have 30 minutes or 1 hour more sun than if you stay at the beginning of the beach. of the main <strong>disadvantages of Turqueta<\/strong> is that it allows <strong>mini-cruise<\/strong> ships to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.civitatis.com\/es\/menorca\/paseo-barco-menorca?aid=1944&amp;cmp=turqueta\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><strong>mini cruise ships<\/strong><\/a> that leave Ciutadella to unload a <strong>few tourists in a very short time<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThese cruises usually arrive in the morning or at noon, and because of the amount of people arriving all at once, the beach becomes even more crowded.<br \/>\nEven with a lot of people it is a very nice beach, but you have to know that<strong> if you go from June to August the beach will be quite crowded<\/strong>.<br \/>\nYou can get
