<strong>very close to Cala Galdana<\/strong>, Mitjana allows us to access many of the less frequented beaches of the south, such as <a title=\"Cala Trebal\u00fager\" href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/cala-trebaluger\/\">Cala Trebal\u00fager<\/a>, <a title=\"Cala Fustam\" href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/cala-fustam\/\">Cala Fustam<\/a>, or <a title=\"Escorxada Cove\" href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/cala-escorxada\/\">Cala Escorxada.<\/a><br \/>\nOne of the main characteristics of this beach is the large amount of sand it has, and how <strong>wide the bathing area is<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThanks to this, even if there are a lot of people on the beach, it is always possible to find a place to put a towel, although sometimes it is quite far from the water.     <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>You have to take into account that due to its orientation, <strong>1 hour and a half before sunset the beach is covered by the class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"By_Car\"><\/span>By Car<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>  Both from Ma\u00f3 and from Ciutadella, you have to <strong>go to Cala Galdana<\/strong>, and before arriving take the detour to the left.<br \/>\nThe cove is quite well indicated, and in the busiest days of the summer you can see cars parked on the sides of the road.<br \/>\nThe <strong>parking of Cala Mitjana is free.<\/strong> The parking used to be about 100 meters from the beach, but since 2013 it is about 10 minutes walk there and 15 minutes walk back (downhill and uphill).<br \/>\nEven after the change of parking the beach is usually very crowded.     <\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"By_Bike\"><\/span>By Bike<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>  Access to the beach by bike is exactly the same as by car.  <\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Once_There\"><\/span>Once There<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>  Cala Mitjana has quite a few options for the visitor.<br \/>\nIn addition to the front line sandy area, the cove has a lot of depth, so there are<strong> shaded picnic areas<\/strong> with benches and tables quite comfortable for a snack.<br \/>\nYou can also try to <strong>visit Mitjaneta cove<\/strong>, a tiny cove with hardly any sand, just to the right of Mitjana.<br \/>\nIt is nice but sometimes only 2 or 3 people can fit, depending on how much sand there is.     <figure id=\"attachment_837\" class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>  The more <strong>adventurous<\/strong> are in luck, because on the left side of the cove <strong>there is a cliff from where you can jump into the sea<\/strong> with little danger.<br \/>\nIt is not as comfortable and there are not as many jumps as in <a title=\"Platforms of Cala en Brut\" href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/cala-en-brut-platforms\/\">Cala en Brut<\/a>, but it is still a fun area.<br \/>\nThe platform from where most people jump has a<strong> height of about 7 or 8 meters<\/strong> approximately.<br \/>\nOf course, <strong>before jumping it is important to make sure that there is no one in the water<\/strong>, calculate the momentum well and <strong>never jump holding on to another person to avoid accidents.<\/strong>    <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I have seen two people jumping at the same time and if one of them regrets at the last moment and brakes, the danger of falling over the cliff wall is very high (I have seen accidents of this type, fortunately without serious consequences).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"attachment_836\" class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p> <strong>Hikers<\/strong> and walkers will also enjoy Cala Mitjana, because from here you can<strong> go to <a title=\"Cala Trebal\u00fager\" href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/cala-trebaluger\/\">Cala Trebal\u00fager<\/a>, Cala <a href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/cala-fustam\/\">Fustam<\/a> and<a title=\"Escorxada Cove\" href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/cala-escorxada\/\"> Cala Escorxada<\/a><\/strong>, through the famous <a title=\"Cam\u00ed de Cavalls\" href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/cami-de-cavalls\/\">Cam\u00ed de Cavalls<\/a>.<br \/>\nI recommend trying to get to Escorxada to those who feel like it, although the road is very long!<br \/>\nAlso, on the way to Trebal\u00fager you can see a <strong>small bunker overlooking the bay of the cove<\/strong>.<br \/>\nI do not know the history and purpose of the construction, but which distracts the attention of some tourists, but not all!<br \/>\nIf you want to stay near Mitjana I recommend two very different options, rural tourism and tourism for the comfortable!   <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a title=\"Agroturisme Binisaid\" href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/es\/agroturisme-binisaid.es.html?aid=328487&amp;label=mitjana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Agroturisme Binisaid<\/a>: rural hotel very close to Mitjana, so much that if you like walking you can go on foot (2.5km), but be careful with the road!<br \/>\nThere are rooms but you can also rent the apartment with kitchen! <\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Hotel Sol Gavilanes\" href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/es\/sol-gavilanes.es.html?aid=328487&amp;label=mitjana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Hotel Sol Gavilanes<\/a>: the flagship of Cala Galdana!<br \/>\nHated by many and loved by many others, its presence on the beachfront does not go unnoticed.<br \/>\nBring
