id=\"Beaches_within_the_Northern_Marine_Reserve\"><\/span>Beaches within the Northern Marine Reserve<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>  The <strong>beaches within the reserve are differentiated according to the protection zone in which they are located<\/strong>.<br \/>\nZone A is the most protected, and Zone C is the least protected.<br \/>\nThese are the beaches within the marine fauna seems to have decreased, I still enjoy the amount of <strong>groupers<\/strong>, <strong>moray eels<\/strong> and <strong>starfish<\/strong> that can be seen in Menorca.<br \/>\nIt is also relatively easy to see <strong>octopus <\/strong>and <strong>mullet<\/strong>.<br \/>\n <strong>Sea urchins and jellyfish<\/strong> are omnipresent on the island, so be prepared to see a few wherever you go.<br \/>\nIf you go to the northern reserve beaches and know how to go down 2 or 3 meters deep you will enjoy a lot of diversity.<br \/>\nIf you go to the southern beaches, look for the rocky and seaweedy areas, if you want the fish to come to you you can look for floating seaweed and get close, in a few seconds fish will start coming to eat.      <\/p>\n<h2><span fish.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wear gloves and fins<\/strong>: the gloves allow you to hold on to the rocks without hurting yourself, the fins prevent you from getting tired after 10 minutes of October and the visibility is always very good<\/strong>.<br \/>\nIn July and August the visibility near the shore is very poor due to the amount of boats and swimmers, but if you move away from the hustle and bustle the water is almost always very clean and the visibility is very good.   <\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_cold_is_the_water_in_Menorca\"><\/span>How cold is the water in Menorca?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>  No.<br \/>\n<strong>The water in Menorca is rather warm<\/strong>.   <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The temperature almost never drops below 13\u00ba in winter.<\/li>\n<li>From May to October the water temperature is between 16\u00ba and 25\u00ba (sometimes reaching 27\u00ba).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Is_it_safe_to_snorkel\"><\/span>Is it safe to snorkel?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>  Yes, it <strong>is safe if you don&#8217;t go too far from the coast<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Always<\/strong> try to <strong>stay within 15 meters from the coast<\/strong> (you can walk along the side of the coves going offshore).<\/li>\n<li>In summer there are boats that do NOT respect the maximum speeds and safety distances to the coast, so<strong> be more careful in July and August<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>I definitely recommend traditional goggles<\/strong> because they allow you to go down to more than 2m.<br \/>\nIf you are not going to go down more than 1 or 2 meters and do not want to get complicated, Decathlon goggles are fine.   <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A <a sides and in the center<\/strong>, where you can see moray eels, groupers, octopuses, etc.<\/li>\n<li>There are <strong>sandbanks in the deeper areas<\/strong> where you can see rays, spider fish and even some raor.<\/li>\n<li>There are <strong>few boats<\/strong> even in summer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\"
