same bay of <strong><a title=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/cala-macarella\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/cala-macarella\/\">Cala Macarella<\/a>,<\/strong> but it is considerably smaller and has no restaurant.<br \/>\nIn Macarelleta there used to be a system of remontant dunes that is currently in clear decline due to the large number of people camping on the beach overnight<a title=\"https:\/\/www.cervantesvirtual.com\/servlet\/SirveObras?portal=0&amp;urlPropia=17430\" class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Check the access restrictions by vehicle before you go.<\/strong> You can only get to Cala Macarelleta from <strong><a title=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/cala-macarella\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/cala-macarella\/\">Macarella Cove<\/a><\/strong>.<br \/>\n<strong>To get<\/strong> to Macarella take the Cam\u00ed de Sant Joan de Missa from Ciutadella and follow the signs on the road.<br \/>\n(When the access is open to traffic &#8211; November to May).<br \/>\nThe journey from Ciutadella to Macarella can take you about 20-25 minutes by car, and just over 1 hour by bike.<br \/>\nIt is the same road you have to take to go to <a title=\"Son Saura Beaches\" href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/son-saura\/\">Son Saura<\/a> or <a title=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/cala-en-turqueta\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/cala-en-turqueta\/\">Cala en Turqueta<\/a>.<br \/>\nWhen arriving at the beach,<strong> there is a free parking from November to June<\/strong>.       <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/F8x9eKp1awT3y6UNA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Parking located about 900 meters away<\/a> (15 min. on foot): Free of charge<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Once_in_Macarelleta\"><\/span>Once in Macarelleta<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>  Once in Macarella, <strong>you have to walk about 5-10 minutes to get to Cala Macarelleta.<\/strong><br \/>\nFor me it is a recommended walk, since Macarella has a restaurant and therefore it is more likely that there are more people.<br \/>\nIn addition, during the walk you go up the cliff of the beach and you have very nice views from above. <strong>The path that leads to Macarelleta is located, if we are looking at the sea, to the right of the beach<\/strong>.<br \/>\nIt is not excessively complicated but with small children it is a bit more difficult.<br \/>\nIn Macarelleta there is no service or restaurant, so if you are going to spend the day don&#8217;t forget water and food!      <figure id=\"attachment_1011\" reached Cala Macarelleta, you can <strong>walk another 10 or 15 minutes to reach the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/30-viewpoints-with-the-best-views-of-menorca\/\">viewpoint of Macarelleta<\/a><\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe path is not indicated and in some sections it is narrow and you can scratch your legs.<br \/>\nThe viewpoint does not overlook Cala Macarelleta, but has views of Macarella and the sea.    <\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Estrella_Damm_2010_advertisement\"><\/span>Estrella Damm 2010 advertisement<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>  Since <a title=\"Estrella Damm Beer - 2010 Ad Places\" href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/star-star-damm-announcement-places-2010\/\">2010<\/a> when <a title=\"Estrella Damm Beer - 2010 Ad Places\" href=\"https:\/\/www.menorcadiferente.com\/en\/star-star-damm-announcement-places-2010\/\">Estrella Damm made one of its famous ads<\/a> on the island of Menorca,<strong> Cala Macarelleta is almost always full <\/strong>(until 2018).<br \/>\nI personally have stopped going in July and August to avoid the overcrowding, which has reached points where people no longer fit on the sand and occupy the dune spaces in regeneration in an uncivic and disrespectful way with the natural environment. <strong>In 2018, to avoid car collapses at the entrance to the beach, access by car and motorcycle to Macarella and Macarelleta was prohibited<\/strong>.<br \/>\nI have been told by some people who went in July and August that there were a little less people.    <figure id=\"attachment_1009\"
