Plantation and Wineries
The Binifadet plantation is located in the southern part of Menorca, specifically in Sant Lluís.
The land on which the vineyards grow is somewhat special, as it has Marès stone underneath, something that apparently helps to get a very good quality grape. The Binifadet winery launched its first wine on the market in 2004.
Since then, their wines have become quite well known on the island and even in some parts of the mainland.
To get an idea of their popularity, Ferran Adrià’s restaurant (El Bulli) serves a variety of wine from these wineries. 
How to get to Binifadet
Getting to the wineries is quite easy.
- If you go from Maó, you have to take any road that takes you to Sant Lluís.
- If you are coming from the airport, take the Carretera de Sant Climent and follow the signs to Sant Lluís.
- If you are coming from Ciutadella, the best thing to do is to take the road to Maó, pass the airport turnoff and look for the signs to Sant Lluís.
- The wineries are quite well signposted, so it is difficult to get lost.
Right next to the winery there is a free parking lot for 10 to 15 vehicles.
Once There…
When you are at the plantation (right next to the wineries), you can ask the BInifadet staff for a guided tour or visit the vineyards on your own.
You can also have a drink on the magnificent terrace, right in front of the plantation.
You can do Guided Tours and Free Tastings.
The guided tours are done inside the winery and last about half an hour.
During the visit they will explain some details of the winemaking process and show you the cellars where the wine is stored.
- At the end of the visit, a free wine tasting is available .
- In addition, before starting the visit there is usually an exhibition of Binifadet brand products, and you can taste their jams and even a goat cheese.
They have beauty products, olive oils, cheese, jam and a wide range of options quite ideal for buying gifts.
Stroll through the vineyards at your own pace
Apart from the guided tour, it is possible to walk through the vineyards without any kind of restriction.
The vineyard area is immense so you can lose yourself for a long time.
