The 5 Best Sunsets in Menorca
Última actualización: 19/08/2024
One of the star activities of the summer in Menorca is to contemplate the sunsets over the sea.
The sunset is a very relaxing activity and you can go to see it as a family, as a couple or with friends.
It’s free, short and doesn’t break up your day as you can do things before and after sunset!
Although from many points of the coast you can see beautiful sunsets, these 5 that I show you below are for me the 5 best sunsets you can see in Menorca.
Article contents
1. Cavalleria Lighthouse

The sunset from the cliffs of the Cavalleria lighthouse is a real scandal.
Combinations of colors on a flat sea through which from time to time a sailboat or a small motorboat parades.
From the cliffs you can see La illa des Porros in the middle of the sea, piles of stones piled up by visitors (it is a bad practice), wild vegetation weathered by the intense tramuntana wind….
Every time I go there I am speechless.
- Free, accessible and for all audiences, a truly different sunset.
If you want to combine a sunset in Cavalleria with more activities with family or friends in one day, you might be interested in doing a Jeep Safari.
Punta Nati Lighthouse

The Punta Nati lighthouse is not far behind in the competition with the Cavalleria lighthouse.
Although it is true that it does not have the height of its cliffs nor the spectacular scenery, it is much more accessible from Ciutadella.
- This means that there is almost always someone at Punta Nati to watch the sunset, so be prepared to clap when it’s over (if you’re the clapping type…)!
- From 2022 there are restrictions on access by car, so be informed before you go.so get informed before you go.
3. Mount Toro

Can you see the sunset from the highest point of Menorca? Yes, and it also has free parking and a gift store for the most demanding customers.
Not only will you be able to see the sunset, but you will also see a good part of Menorca from the top.
- If you dare, climb on a bike! It is a very steep but very short hike.
It is 3.6 km long and has a positive difference in altitude of 290 meters.
4. Bahia Restaurant in Santandria
From its terrace you can have a drink overlooking Santandria beach while the sun sets.
5. Sunset on a Sailboat at sunset (65€)
- It costs 65€ per person and you can sail for 3 hours departing from Fornells, with a snack and cold drinks included.
Bonus 1: Sunset Experience Jeep Safari Menorca (77€)
In addition to discovering corners of Menorca that are not very accessible, visiting beaches and tasting the products of Menorca’s vegetable garden, at the end you will be able to watch the sunset from a privileged environment.
Bonus 2: En Xoroi Cave

The most typical and crowded but no less spectacular.
When you arrive at the airport of Menorca they are already handing out flyers to visit it, but this place has an undeniable charm.
It can be expensive but the views from this cave are really beautiful.
- If you don’t have the budget to go in, I’ll give you a hint, if you go up to the cliffs above you can see the same without paying a single euro… but without mojito or beer!
- You can also go at night and enjoy the party in the most famous discotheque in Menorca.
