the old town of Ciutadella, very close to the Plaça Nova, you will find a small treasure in Ciutadella: the restaurant Curniola 35.
Installed in a typical house of the center (from the year 1845) carefully restored, this restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere and one of the best gastronomic experiences that you can currently find in Ciutadella.
If you decide to have lunch or dinner at Curniola, Xavi and his colleagues at the restaurant will welcome you and offer you a very well chosen menu, dishes prepared with care and without great pretensions, all of them delicious.
If you want them to reserve a place for you on their small terrace, you’d better call in advance.

The Food

The food at Curniola is based on tapas and Menorcan and Mediterranean dishes. The pastas are also good and they have meats with an Argentinean touch.
I personally like the classics such as tuna tartar with avocado, monkfish and shrimp croquettes, squid Andalusian style and bread with tomato.

How to get to Curniola35

Getting to Curni0la is easy.
You can park your car in any of the 3 parking lots in the port area of Ciutadella.

  1. Parking Puerto Antiguo: Parking just above the port, you have to go down the ramp to the port and then cross the port and go to the center of Ciutadella.
    The good thing about this parking is that it is usually emptier (it has more places) and if you look out over the port from above you can take pictures with the wall and the port in the background.
  2. Parking Es Pla: Parking in the same port.
    It is not asphalted and is in front of the bars of the port, it is more difficult to park in high season.
  3. Parking Es Born: This parking is free after 8pm (it is blue zone) and in summer it is very difficult to park after 9pm.

Santo Tomás to Son Bou – Stretch 15 of Camí de Cavalls

Section 15 of the Camí de Cavalls is the one that goes from the beach of Santo Tomás to the beach of Son Bou (the longest beach of Menorca).
It is a stretch of about 3km of distance of very easy difficulty that can be covered in less than 2 hours both on foot and by bike.
It can be done on foot without any problem and also by mountain bike.
