Cova d’en Xoroi

The Cova d’en Xoroi is a natural cave located in Cala en Porter, on the south coast of Menorca.
The cave is named after Xoroi, a Turkish pirate who lived as a refugee in the cave for years.
La Cova can be visited both day and night.
You can arrive by car and park without problems in the parking lot or in the streets adjacent to the premises (see map).
If you are coming from Ciudadela, just take the road to Mahón and take the detour to Cala en Porter or to the airport.

Torre del Ram Hippodrome

Getting to Menorca by Plane

The plane is the fastest way to get to Menorca, especially if you come from places far from the Mediterranean coast. The big drawback of getting by plane to the island is transportation. It should be borne in mind that getting around Menorca on foot is practically impossible, and public transport is also not the best option. So if you come by plane it is advisable to rent a car.

Logically, there are different companies that are dedicated to car rental in Menorca, but not enough to meet the needs in high season. The summer of 2009 has been chaotic in this regard, and it was impossible to get a rental car if a reservation had not been made in advance.

Cavalleria Lighthouse

The lighthouse of Cavalleria is one of the most peculiar lighthouses in Menorca. This lighthouse is located at the northernmost point of the island, Cape Cavalleria, and can be reached by car via a narrow road. It is possible to park the car a few meters away. Most people who visit the lighthouse do so by day, but it is also possible to do it at night, or to watch the sunset.
