Sa Farola Lighthouse

The Faro de Sa Farola is the most urban lighthouse of all the ones in Menorca.
The construction of this lighthouse began in 1861 and was completed and inaugurated in 1863.
In 2013 it celebrated 150 years since its opening!
This lighthouse was one of the first of all the Balearic Islands to inaugurate the electric lighting system, in 1918.

The port of Sanitja or Sanisera is a natural harbor located theoretically next to the ancient Roman city of Sanisera.
