Bar Triton – Tapas in Ciutadella Port

Última actualización: 20/08/2024

Triton Bar in Cituadella
Bar Triton de Cituadella
Bar Triton is one of the classics of the port of Ciutadella, serving both tapas and mixed dishes.
Every summer night it is full of tourists looking for the typical dishes of the island at an affordable price (although in recent years, the quality of their tapas is not what it used to be).
It has one of the best terraces with direct views of the harbor, yes, for dinner it is preferable to go early as they do not allow reservations for the terrace and therefore long queues are formed that can be between 30 min to 1h.

The Food

Among their tapas I especially like these:

  • Squid
  • Galician octopus
  • Meatballs (pilotes) with tomato sauce
  • Fried fish
  • Squids Andalusian style

I also love to stop at Bar Triton before going to the beach and order a bocata de albondigas con tomate.
And finally, almost everyone in Ciutadella has finished a night or two of partying in the port with a full hamburger or a Bocata de Pilotes from Triton: Around 5:30 in the morning the bar opens its doors to the fishermen who start their day and to the party people who stop for a bocata de pilotes before going back home.

How to get to Bar Triton

From any point of Menorca you have to go to Ciutadella by the main road.
Once you are in Ciutadella you can park in the square Es Born or in any place of the surroundings, since in summer it is very difficult to park at night.

  • Getting to the Triton is easy if you are in Ciutadella, you just have to go down to the port by one of the multiple accesses (my recommendation is to go down the ramp where the Firac is).
