Firac – Ciutadella

The Firac is an artist organization founded in 2006 with the aim of creating a craft market with different cultural activities. The Firac manages the temporary craft market of Ciutadella that has the same name.

In this market you can find handmade products made by artisans that work with jewels, marame, pottery, clothes, shoes and illustrations. All participants of Firac, wether permanent or guests, must sell products made by themselves. Thanks to this requirementyou can buy unique and different handmade pieces.

How To Get There

The Firac is located in the same port of Ciutadella, so it’s very easy to get there. If you are in Ciutadella, you just have to go towards the port through the access ramp that you can find next to the Es Born square. If you come from anywhere else of Menorca, like Fornells or Maó, you just have to go towards the centre of Ciutadella, and from there go to the port.

In the Es Born square there is a blue zone parking. Note that during tourist season, it’s very hard to find place to park, especially from 8 p.m. when people start to go out to have dinner.

Timetable and Contact

The market is open to public from 20.00 to 00.00 from July 15th to September 15th in the Costa Marina of the Ciutadella’s Port (The access ramp to the port of Menorca).

Once You Are There

If you visit the Firac, my personal recommendation is that you buy at any of the stands. All you will find are original and different gifts to any of the ones that you can buy in other souvenirs shop. Young women usually like the stand of Esto Es Un Sueño, that sells handmade dresses with natural textile.
