Markets and Fairs – 2027

Menorca’s summer markets open in the evening, usually from 7:00 PM. The markets that run all year round are held in the morning.

Important Note: Some dates or locations may have changed. If you want to be completely sure, you can check the official CAIB information.

The information on this page is for the 2026 season. Town councils usually open applications for market stalls in March and April, so the 2027 dates will appear then.

Updated in November 2026 for the 2027 season. Schedules and locations change every season, so check before you go.

One of the activities most appreciated by tourists in Menorca are the artisan markets. In Menorca, you can visit a multitude of markets and fairs, some in summer and others in winter, where you can buy all kinds of artisanal products and typical island foods.

Each municipality has its own set dates for markets, although many of them fall on the same day during summer. It’s worth confirming market dates with locals or a tourist information office, since they can occasionally change date or location. Here’s the list of markets and fairs by municipality:

Fairs and Markets of Ciutadella

Ciutadella has 3 well-known summer markets and several more throughout the year. The 2026 schedules come from the A Punt Menorca calendar (original source: Ajuntament de Ciutadella)

1. Mercat de Costa Marina (formerly Firac): The go-to market for handmade products. From June 1 to September 30, Monday to Thursday from 7:00 PM to midnight, and Friday to Sunday until 1:00 AM. (Costa Marina, Ciutadella Port, Carrer Portal de la Mar)
2. Mercado de Capllonch: The other port market, great for cheap non-handmade souvenirs. From June 1 to September 30, Monday to Thursday from 7:00 PM to midnight, and Friday to Sunday until 1:00 AM. (Ciutadella Port steps, Carrer Pere Capllonc)
3. Es Born artisan market: A market featuring the island’s craftspeople, previously held in the Cathedral square. From June to September, Mondays and Fridays (plus Wednesdays in July and August) from 7:00 PM to midnight (Plaça des Born)
4. Es Born street market: A market right in the center of Ciutadella selling mainly clothing. Year-round, Mondays and Fridays: in summer from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, and in winter from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM. (Plaça des Born)
5. Fira de Sant Antoni: Sale of traditional products like dates, oranges, handicrafts and food. In 2026 the fair was held on January 17 at Plaça de Sant Antoni. There was also a food and craft market at La Contramurada from January 16 to 18. The 2027 dates haven’t been published yet.
6. Mercat Agrari: A market selling local farm produce. Year-round, Wednesdays and Saturdays from roughly 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM (Plaça de la Llibertat)
7. Resort markets: Small souvenir and craft markets in Cala en Bosc, Cala Blanca, Cala en Blanes and La Serpentona. From June to September, every day from 5:00 PM to midnight
8. Mercat de Nadal: Christmas market at Plaça des Born. In 2025 it was held the weekend of December 6 and 7

Fairs and Markets in Maó

In Maó, there is a wide variety of temporary markets both in summer and winter. The most interesting is probably the exchange and second-hand market: (sources: Ajuntament de Maó)

1. Claustre del Carme Market: A traditional market with a variety of stalls selling fresh products of Menorcan origin. In summer, there are activities and concerts in the square. (Claustre del Carme Cloister)
2. Peix Market: Fresh fish market. All year round, from Tuesday to Saturday from 07:30 to 14:00 (Plaza España)
3. S’esplanada street market: A traditional street market selling mostly clothing and home decor. Tuesdays and Saturdays year-round, from 8:30 or 9:00 AM (depending on the source) to 2:00 PM (Plaça Explanada)
4. Maó port street market: A street market at Maó’s port selling clothing and accessories during the tourist season. From April to October, every day from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM (Pla de Baixamar, at Maó port; previously located in Rochina park)
5. Maó artisan market: A market of handmade goods by Menorca residents, equivalent to Ciutadella’s FIRAC. From June 2 to September 29 (2026 schedule), Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM (Plaça del Carme)
6. Agromaó: A market selling sustainable local food products typical of Menorca. Every Sunday year-round, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (Carrer Nou and S’Arravaleta)
7. Christmas Fair: A fair mainly selling Christmas products. Held over the December long weekend. In 2025, from December 5 to 8 (Friday from 5:00 to 8:30 PM, and Saturday to Monday from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM). (Claustre courtyard, Plaza de la Constitució and Calle Ses Moreres; 2025 program)
8. Night Market: A craft and fashion market with a summer vibe. Tuesdays from 8:00 to 11:30 PM, from late June to early September. In 2026 it ran from June 23 to September 1, and in 2025 from June 17 to September 9. (Plaça del Carme and Plaça d’Espanya)
9. Port Night Market (Estiu al Port): A market with live music by the port. In 2026, Saturdays from 8:00 to 11:00 PM until September 5 (Port Authority dock)
10. Sant Antoni Market: A market with Menorcan products in January. In 2026, from January 16 to 18 (Plaça Esplanada)
11. Exchange and Second-Hand Market – MIM: A market where books are exchanged without money, along with workshops and cooking activities. No set date.

Alaior Fairs and Markets

Alaior has two summer markets, the weekly Thursday market and a few winter fairs. (source: Alaior Town Council)

1. Cala en Porter street market: A street market selling textiles, footwear, furniture, food and more. In 2026, from June 2 to September 8, Mondays and Thursdays from 7:00 to 11:00 PM. (Plaza de Mevis)
2. Alaior Night Market: Alaior’s artisan market, very popular and accompanied by cultural activities, product tastings, music, workshops and more. In 2026 (25th edition), from June 3 to September 9, every Wednesday from 7:00 to 11:00 PM. (Town center: Es Ramal, Sa Plaça, Coll des Palmer, Es Forn, Carrer Major i la Sala)
3. Thursday street market: A weekly market selling clothing and various products. Year-round, Thursday mornings, from 9:00 AM to 1:00–2:00 PM (Plaça des Ramal)
4. Fira de Sant Antoni: A fair in the cloister of the Centre Cultural Convent de Sant Diego. In 2026, Sunday, January 18, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
5. Mercat de Nadal: Christmas market at Plaça des Ramal. In 2025 (20th edition) it ran from December 19 to 31, closed on the 25th

Fairs and Markets of Es Castell

Although not very well known, Es Castell has several markets: the Cales Fonts markets in summer, a weekly market, and a secondhand market in winter.

1. Cales Fonts Market: From June 15 to September 15 (2026 schedule). Every day from 7:30 PM to 1:00 AM (Calle Miranda de Calasfonts, next to the Cales Fonts ramp)
2. Creative Artisan Market (Mercat de Nit): Another artisan market only available in summer. From June 15 to September 14 (2026 schedule), every Monday from 7:30 PM to 1:00 AM (Calle Miranda de Calasfonts and Sa Font)
3. Secondhand market: A market selling secondhand items during the winter season. From November 1 to May 31, from 7:00 to 11:00 PM (Plaza Esplanada; not listed in the 2026 calendars)
4. Street market: A weekly market selling clothing and various products. Year-round, Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (Plaça de s’Esplanada; some sources list it on Tuesdays and Saturdays)
5. Mercat de Nadal: Christmas market. In 2025 it was held on December 13 and 14

Fairs and Markets in Es Mercadal

Es Mercadal is another town that surprises with the sheer number of markets and fairs it holds throughout the year. The town council’s calendar listed up to 7 markets, 3 of which were summer markets.

In 2026, only the Thursday summer market and the Sunday market were confirmed.

Honestly, there’s a bit too much going on market-wise in Es Mercadal for my taste (source: Es Mercadal Town Council)

1. Winter farm and craft market: From February 1 to May 31, Tuesdays from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM (Calle Nou) (unverified for 2026)
2. Summer farm and craft market: In 2026, from June 4 to September 24, Thursdays from 7:00 to 11:30 PM. Over 70 stalls and live music, in the town center (Calle Major and surrounding area; more information)
3. Fair market: Every Sunday there’s a fair, Sundays from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM (Calle Nou) (unverified for 2026)
4. Street market: Sunday mornings, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (Plaza Pare Camps). The 2026 calendars list it as year-round; it previously ran only from October to May
5. Street market: From June 1 to September 31, Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM (Calle de les Roques) (unverified for 2026)
6. Summer farm market: From June 1 to September 31, Mondays from 7:00 to 11:00 PM (Calle Major) (unverified for 2026)
7. Winter farm market: From October 1 to May 31, alternate Sundays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM (Calle Major) (unverified for 2026)
8. Mercat artesanal de Nadal: Christmas market. In 2025 it was held on December 13 and 14 (Plaça Pare Camps)

Fairs and Markets in Es Migjorn Gran

Es Migjorn only has one artisan market (source: diario Menorca):

1. “Dimarts as Migjorn” artisan market: A very popular artisan market thanks to its combination of stalls with cultural activities and workshops. In 2026, from June 30 to August 25 (no market on August 4), every Tuesday from 7:30 to 10:30 PM (town center)

Fairs and Markets in Ferreries

Ferreries has a very popular summer night market and several morning markets throughout the year (source: Ultima Hora)

1. Mercat de Nit: Ferreries’ famous night market held along the town’s central streets. In 2026 it wasn’t weekly, but held only on 6 Fridays: June 12 and 26, July 10 and 24, August 7 and 21. From 7:00 to 10:30 PM (Plaça Espanya and the town center streets; official notice in the BOIB)
2. Saturday artisan and farm market: A small market of crafts and food. Year-round, Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (Plaça Espanya; no market on public holidays falling on Saturday)
3. Friday street market: A morning market with around 12 stalls. Year-round, Fridays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (Plaça Espanya)
4. Fira d’Artesania i Agroalimentària: A crafts and food fair. In 2026 (25th edition) it ran from October 2 to 4. Friday from 5:00 to 9:00 PM, Saturday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. (Plaça Espanya, Avinguda Verge del Toro and Carrer Beat Joan Huguet)
5. Mercat de Nadal: Christmas market at Plaça Espanya, held the first weekend of December (in 2025, from the 6th to the 8th)

Fairs and Markets in Fornells

Fornells, the ghost town during winter, has several seasonal summer markets.

1. Artisan market: Fornells’ night market. From June 14 through September (2026 schedule), Sundays and Mondays from 6:00 PM to midnight (Es Pla de Fornells esplanade)
2. Street market: The town’s street market. From May 20 to October 14 (2026 schedule), Wednesday mornings, from 10:00 AM to 2:00–3:00 PM. (Carrer de la Mar; previously held on Thursdays)
3. Farm market: Local products with live music. From June 1 to September 28, Mondays from 6:00 to 10:00 PM (Plaça de l’Església)
4. Mercat d’Intercanvi de Nadal: Christmas swap market. In 2025 it was held on December 13 at 10:00 AM (Carrer de la Mar)

Sant Lluís Markets and Fairs

Sant Lluís wasn’t on the original list. It has a summer market on the main street, a weekly street market, and the Punta Prima market (sources: A Punt Menorca and illesbalears.travel)

1. Mercat d’estiu de Sant Lluís: An artisan and cultural activities market on the main street, closed to traffic. In 2026, Fridays from 7:00 to 11:00 PM on specific dates: June 19, July 3, 17 and 31, and August 14. (Carrer de Sant Lluís)
2. Street market: A weekly market selling clothing and various products. Year-round, Monday and Wednesday mornings, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM (Pla de sa Creu)
3. Punta Prima Market: A market right by the beach. From May to mid-October; the schedule changes depending on the time of year. In peak summer it opens in the afternoon several days a week and on Sundays. (Passeig de s’Arenal)
