South beaches

Cala Mitjana

Mitjana beach is another of the magnificent beaches of the south of Menorca.
Located very close to Cala Galdana, Mitjana allows us to access many of the less frequented beaches of the south, such as Cala Trebaluger, Cala Fustam, or Cala Escorxada.
One of the main characteristics of this beach is the large amount of sand it has, and how wide the bathing area is.

Cala Macarella

Cala Macarella is another of the paradisiacal beaches of Menorca.
Located on the south coast, macarella is one of the most crowded virgin coves during the summer vacations, as it has services and a parking very close.
The photo of Cala Macarella illustrates hundreds of postcards of the island.
To get there you only need to take the Camí de Sant Joan de Missa from Ciudadela and follow the signs on the road.
The trip from Ciudadela to Macarella can take you about 20-25 minutes by car, and a little more than 1 hour by bike.

Cala Biniparratx

Cala Biniparratx is another of the “bini” coves of Menorca (bini- is a prefix of Arab origin that is equivalent to “Son of …”), located very close to Binisafúller and Binidalí. Biniparratx is south facing, so it has “face” sun for most of the day. The beach is about 20 meters wide by 20 meters long, so it has room for quite a few swimmers on the sand. Biniparratx has as its main attraction the access to the beach, which runs through the center of the Ravine of Biniparratx.
