Walking along Carretera de Sa Farola from Cala en Blanes to Ciutadella Ciutadella residents have the luxury of having the old road linking Cala en Blanes to Ciutadella: the Sa Farola promenade. This road was massively discontinued when the new one was built, and for a while it was in very bad condition. In 2008 the road refurbishment work was completed. The result was the magnificent Sa Farola promenade, a road with a two-way bike lane, and a lane for cars.
The promenade allows you to reach Cala en Blanes along the coast.

Sa Caleta beach, also known as Sa Caleta d’en Gorries, is a small urban beach very close to the center of Ciutadella. It is a very comfortable beach and frequented mainly by people who stay around the area. Sa Caleta has all kinds of services: Access ramp for disabled people, lifeguard during the summer season, beach bar on the beach, access by bus line 65 from Cituadella.
The Punta Nati lighthouse is the closest to the center of Ciudadela of all the lighthouses in Menorca (with the exception of Sa Farola). For me it is the best place in Menorca to watch the sunset. This lighthouse was built in 1912 to prevent the constant shipwrecks that occurred on the north coast of Ciudadela.
It can be reached by a spectacular road both by car and by bike. The road is two-way but incredibly narrow with two bike lanes on a fairly long stretch. If you drive your vehicle, you must be very careful because it is very easy to meet a cyclist in any curve.
The Hippodrome de Torre del Ram, also known as Hippodrome de Ciutadella, is a mythical racecourse with a lot of history behind it. It is the only privately owned racetrack in the Balearic Islands, and its long-term operation is unknown due to the economic difficulties caused by the lack of public. The first trotting race was held in 1971, and since then competitions have been held until the present day.
