Cas Cònsol Restaurant
Última actualización: 20/08/2024
Cas Cònsol is a restaurant located in the Plaza es Born whose terrace offers spectacular views of the entire port of Ciudadela.
Housed in a building of the XiX century, Cas Cònsol was the home of the French consul for about 20 years, until the 60s.
As you can see in the photo, which shows a table on the restaurant’s terrace, the feeling on the terrace of Cas Cònsol is of hanging in the middle of the harbor, and the views are very nice at night.

How to get to Cas Cònsol
To get there just go to the center of Ciutadella and park in the Plaza es Born anywhere nearby.
The restaurant is right in the Plaza des Born, between the municipal theater and the town hall of Ciutadella.
Cas Cònsol is a restaurant that usually fills up at dinner time, but during the day it is also an excellent place for tapas.
The Food
As for the food, it is quite Mediterranean with a touch of Moroccan.
They have a wide range of wines and also some very good desserts.
I personally recommend the patatas bravas at noon, or the squid croquettes. If you want to go for dinner, it is best to reserve a table on the covered terrace in advance, as it has capacity for just over 15 people.
The price is not exactly cheap, but for the quality of the food, the decoration of the place and the views it offers, it is worth paying the 40 or 50 euros per person that a full dinner in the restaurant can cost.
The Restaurant
If you are surprised by how well decorated and polished the restaurant is, don’t think it is by chance.
The process of restoration and adaptation of the French consul’s house took more than a year and a half, and involved renowned architects, designers and painters, in a long and complicated process due to the state of the building.
Inside the restaurant the decoration is very elegant, although in summer I always recommend the terrace because it is so nice.
The restaurant has been open since 2006 and has become for many a classic of Ciudadela.
