In the map above you can see the different lines that operate during the summer. The bus is the cheapest alternative within the public transport, but for the tourists who want to know the island and visit beaches and zones of interest with total flexibility it is insufficient. There are 3 companies that run public transport in Menorca: e-torres, TMSA and Autosfornells.
Each of them has in its web the schedules and maps of the routes, but we summarize everything below in case you don’t want to surf 3 different webs looking for information.
- E-Torres has 12 routes, almost all of them with origin or destination in Ciutadella.
- TMSA has 16 routes connecting different towns and cities
- AutosFornells has the 14 routes in the Fornells area. There are 4 night bus routes.

Bus Travel Tips
If you are interested in traveling by bus, the best thing to do is to take with you a map with station schedules and itineraries(also this Bus Lines Map) and plan your routes to coincide with those of the buses.
In any case, to get to the virgin beaches they are not going to be of great help.
And if you are going to pay for your ticket when you get on the bus, think about carrying small bills, as it is not very likely that you will get change for bills of 50€ or more. 
Which beaches can I get to by bus?
From 2018 it is possible to reach many more beaches by Bus, since the bus was opened to the public to reach.
Macarella and Macarelleta, and the bus to reach Presili, Tortuga and Mongofra.
