The 10 Best Beach Bars – 2027
Última actualización: 02/11/2026
Of the 11 beach bars on this list, Susy (Cala Macarella) and Es Bruc (Santo Tomás) stand out. Susy is the only one from which you can easily get to Macarella, Macarelleta and Turqueta.
In summer, almost everyone likes to go to a beach bar to have a paella or some tapas on the shore of a quiet beach.
If it is also a wonderful beach in Menorca, even better, because in addition to the food you can enjoy the views.
Menorca is a virgin and very protected island. It is so protected that it is a biosphere reserve, which is fantastic for nature lovers.
Eco-protection means that unspoiled beaches are truly unspoilt and have no services, no bars or restaurants. This does not mean that there are no beach bars in Menorca, but almost none are in the beaches that you can see in the advertising brochures. If you want to enjoy beautiful beaches and a good beach bar you have several options.
Updated in November 2026 for the 2027 season. Opening hours and access change every season: check before you go.
These are for me the best beach bars in Menorca.

3 – Cova Sa Nacra – Santandria

Cova Sa Nacra is located facing the sea on the right side of the Bahia de Santandria. It is a very small place with virtually all the tables over the sea.
They serve Paellas and Calderetas, tapas and very good meat and fish dishes. I personally like The Squid a la Menorquina with almond sauce.
Bookings are now made online and they ask for a card as a guarantee.
They have 2 direct sea access stairs that are sometimes used by kids to bathe when their parents are still eating desserts or coffees.

5 – Es Bruc – Santo Tomás

The chiringuito of Es Bruc in Santo Tomás is one of the best in Menorca for several reasons. In addition to being on the first line of the coast, it is in the middle of the paradisíac south coast of the island.
With walking access to spectacular beaches such as Binigaus or Cala Escorxada, this beach bar is a blessing at the end of a long hike, or the perfect place to eat quietly with beautiful views. They serve typical Mediterranean food and you can order various salads in addition to fish, meats and assorted tapas.
In Santo Tomás they only take dinner reservations. The same group has a second venue, Es Bruc Santandria, in Ciutadella.

6 – Los Bucaneros – Cala Binibeca (reopened in 2025)

After being closed for several summers, Los Bucaneros reopened in July 2025 under new management, which holds the concession until 2032.
Los Bucaneros beach bar is a charming fishermen’s hut with a red door that makes it unmistakable in any photograph. It is the beach bar with the tables closest to the sea of all Menorca, it is even possible to fall into the water while you are eating.
With the new management it’s more of a restaurant than a beach bar: mussels, fish, Menorcan beef entrecote, burgers, pizzas and salads. In July and August it’s best to book ahead.
The Binibeca beach area is very touristy and crowded during the summer. It’s next to the lovely village of Binibeca Vell, a recommended stop if you decide to have a drink by the shore of this beach.

7 – Susy – Cala Macarella

The Susy beach bar is among the best simply because of its privileged environment. It is the only beach bar from which you can stand on virgin beaches of the caliber of Macarella, Macarelleta or Turqueta.
The food is typical of any Mediterranean beach bar, they have varied starters and combined dishes with generous meats. They have a children’s menu and also a very complete snack menu. The shadow created by the surrounding trees will seem wonderful after a long day of sunshine on the beach.
It opened in 1962 and it’s still run by the same family.
Watch out if you’re driving: in summer (from June 1 in 2026) you can’t reach Macarella by car. You have to go by bus from Ciutadella, on foot from Cala Galdana, or by bike. More details in places with restricted car access.
- Hours: May 1 to June 24, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. June 25 to September 1, 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM (Fridays and Saturdays until midnight).

8 – Es Corb Marí – Son Bou

The Es Corb Marí of Son Bou is a great beach bar touching the Son Bou beach. It is a beach bar where it is very pleasant to be at sunset just when the sun sets.
The natural environment is beautiful but somewhat crowded during the tourist season.

9 – Cap Roig – Sa Mesquida

Cap Roig restaurant opened in 1983 and has been in Sa Mesquida for over 40 years. This restaurant in the Sa Mesquida residential area is just 5 km from the center of Maó, which makes it a great spot for a little getaway lunch with views over Sa Mesquida bay.
The food is based on tapas and salads, but the main incentives are undoubtedly its fish and paellas. To be honest, It’s a little far from the beach, but its views won’t let you down if you’re looking for a beautiful Mediterranean landscape.
- Web: restaurantcaproig.com/es

10. HOPI Beach Bar – Cala en Blanes

In the summer of 2021, the HOPI beach bar opened on the sands of Cala en Blanes. It is run by a very friendly young couple and they serve some basic tapas, fruit smoothies, and various cocktails.
If you feel like relaxing on this family beach, it is a very good plan, especially at sunset.

11 – Enricana Beach Club – Cala Morell

Enricana Beach Club is a restaurant and drinks spot in a privileged setting with views over Cala Morell bay.
The food is mainly Japanese and sushi, plus meat and fish (pricey). With the coastal views, it’s a great seafront restaurant, especially at sunset and on windless days.
Enricana is part of a restaurant group, along with Francesca, Isabella and Ivette.

Bonus – Sa Cova and Pirata – Cala en Blanes

The small and endearing Sa Cova beach bar is a family business with a lot of history. In the 70s, the current owner’s father bought this small hut where fishermen kept their boats, and today the restaurant still serves the loyal public of Cala en Blanes.
As if that weren’t enough, on the same beach of Cala en Blanes there is another beach bar, El Pirata. This gives Cala en Blanes an interesting nightlife atmosphere for both young and not-so-young people.
- Hours: lunch and dinner in season (confirm)
- Phone: several numbers are published; best to check their Facebook
- Payment by card: Yes
Bonus – Restaurant of Binimel·la – Binimel·la

I’m not going to lie to you, I’ve never eaten at this restaurant (though I have had a few tapas and drinks). It is far from the beach, but its main advantage is that there is absolutely nothing on all the surrounding beaches; if you want to eat or drink something when you go to beaches like Binimel·là or Pregonda, you’ll have to do it at this restaurant.
When you come back from a long excursion to Cala Pregonda and pass by, it’s hard to resist the temptation to go in for a drink, especially if the sun is beating down!
- Web: Restaurant Binimel·la
- Hours: 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM
- Phone: +34 971 35 92 75
- Payment by card: NA
Other Beach Bars I Haven’t Tried Yet
There are some bars or restaurants with sea views that I haven’t had the opportunity to try but that look good.
- Bambú Bar – Binibeca (more of a restaurant and bar than a beach bar)
- Isabella Beach Club – Fornells (same group as Enricana)
